When we have the people we love with and around us, it is only natural to find them a bit "too much" for us over time.
For spouses who'd wake up to the same faces everyday; for Mommies who pack into the same lunch boxes each school day. For bestfriends who'd pick up the phone to the daily "hellos and byes"; and for daddies who endure the endless rides to and from school compounds and dance rehearsals - it can get really exhausting over the years!
Albeit, the often subtle and easily forgotten fact is, neither of these times and gestures belong to our hands. They are, just as many others, only parts of our limited existence in this place of Earth!
Sometimes, it is only in and with bittersweet memories of sons who almost left before we could say goodbye, Daddies whose day's good night kisses nearly became forever's last, daughters who went on errands and neared never-being-found, lovers who never professed hidden emotions until at airports on the day of travel - do we realise the brevity of "more time".
It will be imperative to realise the fragility of the gift we have in our lives now; and while at it, kiss them longer while we can, hug at every chance we get, forgive even before the hurts, and love with no regrets. Simply making the most of each minute, knowing we'll never know when we'd run out of time.
Those gone, to our eternal hurts and heartaches, may never return. But for they whom we share this present time with - may we love, like we're gonna lose!
